Akbar Safari

Dr. Akbar Safari is an experimental physicist working in quantum and nonlinear optics as well as atomic physics. He joined Canada Excellent Research Chair (CERC) program in nonlinear quantum optics at the University of Ottawa in 2013 as a PhD student. Akbar has a broad interest and experience in light-matter interaction, quantum interferences, and classical and quantum antennas. He also is interested in mechanical action of light and propagation of slow- and fast-light polaritons in moving media.
