Rasoul Alaee

Rasoul Alaee received his Ph.D. in Physics from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany. After his Ph.D., he joined the group of Vahid Sandoghdar at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light (MPL), where he theoretically studied quantum metamaterials with a magnetic response at optical frequencies. Currently, he is the Feodor Lynen postdoctoral research fellow (Alexander von Humboldt foundation) in the group of Robert W. Boyd at the University of Ottawa. His research interests include nanophotonics, plasmonics, metamaterials, nonlinear metasurfaces, optical manipulation, non-Hermitian optics, and quantum metasurfaces.
